    Can we avoid intense cardio and still be fit?

    Can a person avoid high cardio activities and still get fit?

    • The purpose of high cardio is actually circulation, not that you want your heart to pump hard and fast. If you have a medical condition that may cause you more problems at a high intensity, you can move within a lower intensity and still get great benefits. It's not about the heart rate, it's about blood flow.
    • Family Time Fitness at low cardio helps circulate the blood as well as pump the lymphatic system, at low or high cardio levels.
    • Diet also affects blood flow and circulation. High trans fats and fast foods make the blood much thicker. That makes the lymphatic system more thick, so you're not getting the circulation benefit that you could from your exercise.
    • Research shows that the big muscles in the body (quads and glutes in the upper leg) are the ones that are pumping lymphatic system and the blood up out of the legs, into the body to promote good circulation.
